UNSA Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at - Scientific Paper Published in the Nature Portfolio Journal Climate and Atmospheric Science

Associate Prof. Dr. Amra Hasečić from the Department of Process Engineering, in collaboration with researchers from Brno University of Technology, Czech Republic, has published a scientific paper in the journal Climate and Atmospheric Science. Published by the esteemed Nature Portfolio, this journal has a five-year impact factor of 9.7.
The paper titled “Impact of Wind-Induced Resuspension on Urban Air Quality: A CFD Study with Air Quality Data Comparison” analyzes the influence of particle resuspension on air quality in urban environments and presents a newly developed 2D model of particle resuspension within computational fluid dynamics (CFD). The article is available at: https://www.nature.com/articles/s41612-025-00969-2
This work results from ongoing collaboration with researchers at Brno University of Technology through the CEEPUS Building Knowledge and Experience Exchange in CFD network, coordinated by the Department of Process Engineering (Department of Energy, Process Engineering, and Environmental Engineering). The Department of Process Engineering has successfully conducted activities through this CEEPUS network for several years, organizing study visits for students to Ljubljana, Novi Sad, Austria, the Czech Republic, and beyond.
