Social Inclusion Opportunities MATCH

Local Training Course at the Faculty of Sport and Physical Education, University of Sarajevo

Faculty of Sport and Physical Education, University of Sarajevo is successfully implementing the third Erasmus + Sport project, Social Inclusion Opportunities MATCH. The implementation of this project has started at the beginning of 2017, and is to last for two years. 
As a part of the MATCH project implementation, the Faculty of Sport and Physical Education is currently running a Local training course, which is organised in accordance to the International Training Course, held in Palermo, and organised by the project coordinator CESIE. The members of the Faculty’s project team, and selected professors and students have participated the International Training Course, with an aim to organise the Local Training Course in Bosnia and Herzegovina and raise awareness in regards to the social inclusion and its applicability through sport and sport-related activities. 
The Local Training Course was held at the Faculty of Sport and Physical Education from 28th November to 4th December 2017. In order to provide a quality education, specifically taking into consideration that the participants of the course are students of the Faculty, the organisers have secured the participation of different experts in the field, or to be more exact the participation of employees of institutions and organisation which work on a daily basis with socially marginalised youth. The institutions and organisations that have participated are: SOS Kinderdorf / SOS Children's Village, Cantonal Public Institution Centre for Social Work, Swimming Club SPID, Therapeutic Community University of Sarajevo Campus, Cantonal Public Institution Home for Children without parental care, and Disciplinary Centre for Juveniles in Sarajevo. 
Apart from the above listed institutions, the lectures were held by the Professors and Docents from the Faculty of Sport and Physical Education, among them, prof.dr. Izet Rađo, national coordinator, doc.dr. Dino Mujkić, prof.dr. Slavenko Likić, prof.dr. Haris Alić, doc.dr. Damira Vranešić – Hadžimehmedović, doc.dr. Dženana Imamović, Nedim Čović, MA and of course with the help of students Ajla Avdagić and Emina Sućeska, who had an important task to animate and motivate the student participants, and to help them in realising how to to practically apply social inclusion through sport. 
Hereby we would like to thank the representatives of the aforementioned institutions, especially the lecturers – experts who have selflessly shared their experiences with the students and professors of the Faculty. 
And of course, we would like to thank the students who have applied and regularly attended the course. We can rest assured that the interest towards social inclusion has been awakened, and that we can count on them to further spread the idea of social inclusion through sport in the following project activities, and even further in the years that are to follow.
