Roundtable: “Arts: Social Significance and Engagement”
Within marking two significant anniversaries: the University of Sarajevo’s 70 anniversary and 15 years of the Bologna Study Concept applying, the University of Sarajevo organizes a series of events and activities, including round tables, academic meetings and workshops.
Within the aforementioned activities, the University of Sarajevo also organizes a series of round tables Higher Education, Social Needs and the (Labor) Market - Arts: Social Significance and Engagement aiming to open serious discussions on the scope and modality of the connection between the higher education system and the labor market. Various analyzes identified this problem and aiming to solve it, the University of Sarajevo continuously takes significant steps through cooperation with about two hundred social community entities – Cantonal and Federal Chamber of Commerce, the Sarajevo Canton Employment Service, the Sarajevo Canton Employers Association and numerous other business organizations and associations.
The roundtable is scheduled at the Obala Open Stage (Obala Kulina bana 11, Sarajevo) for 20 November 2019 at 12:00.

Taking into consideration all things nowadays, questions such as whether arts and culture are an unnecessary expense or a wise and profitable long-term investment aren’t at all accidental. We hope that this Roundtable will start a discussion about them and offer at least somewhat acceptable answers for our society.
