The World Day of the Romani Language was celebrated at the Faculty of Philosophy, UNSA
The Association of Romani Women “Bolja Budućnost” of the city of Tuzla in cooperation with the Romani Women's Network “Uspjeh” in Bosnia and Herzegovina celebrated the World Day of the Romani Language last week in the ceremonial hall of the University of Sarajevo - Faculty of Philosophy. Honorary speaker was Mr. Veljko Kajtazi, Member of Parliament of the Republic of Croatia and the initiator of the celebration of the World Roma Language Day, the International Day of Remembrance of the Roma Victims of Genocide in the Second World War - Samudaripen, as well as the World Roma Day. On behalf of the University of Sarajevo - Faculty of Philosophy, the Vice Dean for Scientific Research, International Cooperation and Publishing, Prof. Dr. Minka Džanko. She introduced the attendees to the Faculty's initiative to improve the respect and study of Minority languages and their literature through the introduction of elective courses “Language, literature and culture of the Roma” in the Curriculum and Program of the Department of Literature of the Peoples of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
