Visit of the Lund University Delegation to the University of Sarajevo

A delegation from Lund University, one of the world's leading universities, founded in 1666, visited the University of Sarajevo with the aim of improving international cooperation in the fields of art, education and research.

During the visit, a meeting of the delegations of the two institutions was held, at which the possibilities of future academic and artistic cooperation, exchange of students and teaching staff, as well as joint projects within international programs were discussed.

The delegation of the University of Lund was led by Prof. Santino Rešić, Rector of the University of Arts, and Prof. Fredrik Haller, Dean of the Academy of Performing and Fine Arts of this university.

On behalf of the University of Sarajevo, the meeting was attended by Prof. Dr. Kemal Durić, Vice-Rector for International Cooperation, Prof. Arma Tanović Branković, Vice-Rector for Arts, Culture and Sports, Prof. Lejla Jusić, Dean of the Academy of Performing Arts, Prof. Amira Kudumović, Vice-Dean for Development of the Academy of Performing Arts, Prof. Haris Pašović, and Prof. Faruk Lončarević, Vice-Dean for International Cooperation of the Academy of Performing Arts.

A special focus of the conversation was on strengthening cooperation between art academies, developing joint research and production projects, as well as opportunities for networking through European programs such as Creative Europe and Erasmus+.

This visit represents a significant step towards further international positioning of the University of Sarajevo and the development of strategic partnerships with prestigious European higher education institutions.
