UNSA Statement: Our Diplomas are Unquestionable and Recognized
In order to give accurate information to the public, we repudiate in the strongest possible terms any doubts regarding the diplomas acquired at University of Sarajevo that could have arisen from the ENQA’s postponing of the Agency for Development of Higher Education and Quality Assurance of Bosnia and Herzegovina (HEA BiH)
By occupying the role of the oldest higher education institution in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the University of Sarajevo since its inception has been cherishing the policy of strong equal partnership based international cooperation with the most prestigious world universities that stands out for itself and clearly demonstrates University of Sarajevo’s high quality standards, international recognizability and reputation.
The University of Sarajevo feels the need to state that ENQA Association’s temporary postponing of the Agency for Development of Higher Education and Quality Assurance of Bosnia and Herzegovina full membership clearly signals a warning to the appropriate BH authorities to start working on overcoming numerous shortcomings in these demanding times exerting enormous efforts at the path of obtaining the full EU membership.
Within the higher education area mechanisms must be established to reduce meddling and influence of politics into operating of higher education and scientific institutions and for securing budgetary revenues that would fund research. Additionally, securing major resources for strengthening HEA’s capacities is much needed, so our national Agency would function properly like its EU counterparts.
