Students of the first year of Politology visited the Youth Culture Center and Centar Sarajevo Municipality
On Thursday, January 10, 2019, students of the first year of the first cycle of studies at the Department of Political Science, direction State Management within the framework of the Civil Society course with Prof. Dr. Nermin Mujagić visited the Youth Culture Center and Centar Sarajevo Municipality with the assistant assistant Jasmin Hasanović.
The students addressed the director Armin Omerović, who presented the work, goals and mission of this institution, and introduced the participants to the activities that contribute to society and the community as a whole, and in which students themselves can take part, like courses and schools that actively work within the Center. Also, some of the public activities in January and February, such as performances and exhibitions, have been announced, and for our students - along with the index, a symbolic discount will be provided for the tickets for the upcoming and all future events, in order to contribute to the empowerment of cultural awareness, but also scenes among young people.
Participants were then addressed by the Secretary General of the Center Mirza Krajina, who spoke about the Council, the associations working through it, and emphasized the importance of inter-networking among young people - both at the international, regional and internal level, which was one of the activities of this Council in the past year.
In the end, the President of the Youth Council, Željko Vukša-Fejzić, pointed out that the role of the civil sector for youth, in addition to the project activities, should be concrete action on the ground for key life and existential matters, and that youth organizations and the Council generally need and have to deal equally issues such as the quality of public transport, as well as project activities for the organization of workshops, seminars, debates, etc.
Students used this visit for questions, and also expressed interest in actively engaging in the PU Center for Culture, by joining the sections and schools that operate there.
In this way, students in this course successfully completed their teaching obligations - which, besides the theoretical part, were trying to enrich themselves with various ex-cathedra activities, in order to gain a clearer image of the society we live in.
