STINT Monitoring Visit
Within the realization of an Erasmus+ project “Strengthening Internationalization in BH Higher Education”- STINT, the project coordinator visited the University of Sarajevo on 8 November 2017, as a part of a monitoring visit to all B-H project partners in order to evaluate past activities and plan future ones. The meeting was attended by Mr. Geert De Lepeleer, project coordinator and Ms. Catherine Veriet from the University of Leuven (Belgium) and Mr. Nenad Marković from the University of east Sarajevo. At the meeting, on behalf of the University of Sarajevo were present: Prof. Dr. Aleksandra Nikolić, Vice-Rector for international cooperation, Dr. Jasna Bošnjović, Head of the International Cooperation Office, and Mr. Adnan Rahimić, Senior Associate for International Cooperation. At the meeting the activities in the past two years of project implementation were presented that also include the development of the strategy for the University of Sarajevo’s internationalization, which is one of the project priorities, the drafting of regulations on mobility as a guide for establishing internationalization, pilot activities and dissemination of the project.
The University of Sarajevo is a partner in this Erasmus+ project together with the other seven public universities in Bosnia and Herzegovina along with representatives of the BH authorities and agencies from the higher education field. In addition to BH partners, the Polytechnic University of Porto (Portugal) and the New University of Buckinghamshire (UK) participate in the project, while the project is coordinated by the University of Leuven, Belgium. The project’s goal is strengthening and improving the process of universities internationalization and qualifications’ recognition in Bosnia and Herzegovina. This presentation was also the promotion of activities within the mentioned project, especially in the development of the UNSA’s internationalization strategy.
