SCI-HUB.FF.UNSA Launch: A Research Incubator for Students, Faculty, and Researchers in Sarajevo Canton

The University of Sarajevo- Faculty of Philosophy hosted a gala launch of the SCI-HUB.FF.UNSA research incubator for students, faculty, and researchers in Sarajevo Canton. The project was funded by the Ministry of Science, Higher Education and Youth of Sarajevo Canton and implemented by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).
At the ceremony, the dean of the University of Sarajevo's Faculty of Philosophy, Prof. Dr Kenan Šljivo, and the project coordinator, Nadina Grebović-Lendo, addressed the audience. The students of the University of Sarajevo's Music Academy performed Gaudeamus and Mozart's Allegro.
SCI-HUB.FF.UNSA: Research Incubator for Students, Faculty, and Researchers in Sarajevo Canton is designed as a space that emphasizes the development of open science and transdisciplinarity among sciences. SCI-HUB.FF.UNSA is part of the University of Sarajevo's Faculty of Philosophy library, where students and faculty members spend time for learning, research, and following cultural events. The space has 70 user seats, a reference collection available in open access, and Wi-Fi.
The implementation of the project has ensured a modern and stimulating space for research and learning for students, faculty members, and researchers in Sarajevo Canton. The diversity of study programs offered at the Faculty of Philosophy, the multidisciplinary library collection with over 230,000 library units, and access to scientific literature assisted by competent library staff provide an opportunity for the academic community to achieve research through quality searching of available resources.
A quality physical environment is a prerequisite for quality learning in libraries. By implementing this project proposal, we contribute to the promotion of science, education, and culture. The total funds allocated for the implementation of the project proposal amounted to 273540.00 BAM.
