The Rector of L'Orientale University in Naples visited the University of Sarajevo

On 9 September 2024, the University of Sarajevo hosted Prof. Dr. Roberto Tottoli, University of L'Orientale Rector in Naples, distinguished professor of the Arabic language and Islamic sciences. During the visit, Prof. Dr. Tottoli met with the UNSA Vice-Rectors: Prof. Dr. Dženana Husremović, Prof. Dr. Mirza Dautbašić, Prof. Dr. Dušanko Bošković and Prof. Dr. Tamara Karača-Beljak, as well as with Prof. Dr. Munir Drkić and Prof. Dr. Ahmed Zildžić from the Department of Oriental Philology, Faculty of Philosophy, University of Sarajevo.

Rector Tottoli expressed the deep commitment of L'Orientale University in Naples to promoting academic exchange and institutional cooperation with the University of Sarajevo, stressing that such cooperation is crucial for the advancement of education, research and cultural understanding between universities.

At the meeting were discussed the possibilities of expanding existing cooperation, especially in the field of Oriental studies, and potential joint projects that would be mutually beneficial for both institutions. Special emphasis is placed on the cooperation and exchange of students and professors within the Erasmus+ program, which will further strengthen the ties between the University of Sarajevo and the University of L'Orientale in Naples.
