Project “Assessment of the Health Status of Dogs from the Novo Sarajevo Municipality Area” Successfully Realized
At the Veterinary Clinical Center of the University of Sarajevo – Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, in cooperation with the Novo Sarajevo Municipality, the project titled “Assessment of the Health Status of Dogs from the Novo Sarajevo Municipality Area” was successfully realized in the period from 18 to 24 December 2025.
Within the framework of the project, a total of 30 free systematic examinations of dogs were performed. The examinations included a detailed clinical examination, complete blood and urine analysis, abdominal ultrasound examination, as well as an ECG. In addition to the teaching staff, fourth- and fifth-year students actively participated in the implementation of the project, thus gaining valuable practical experience.
This project made a significant contribution to preserving the health of pets, while simultaneously strengthening practical education for students and successful cooperation between the faculty and the local community.
