First Resident Ambassador of Ukraine to Bosnia and Herzegovina Visits University of Sarajevo

H.E. Volodymyr Bachynsky, First Resident Ambassador of Ukraine to Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Yaroslav Simonov, Deputy Ambassador, visited the University of Sarajevo today, where they met with Prof. Dr. Kemal Durić, Vice-Rector for International Cooperation, Prof. Dr. Naris Pojskić, Vice-Rector for Scientific Research, and Prof. Dr. Benina Veledar, Vice-Rector for Finance.

During the meeting, they discussed the possibilities of improving academic and institutional cooperation between the University of Sarajevo and universities in Ukraine, strengthening international partnerships, student and faculty exchanges, as well as potential joint projects in the fields of education, science, and research.

Special attention was paid to the possibilities of representing universities from Ukraine at the University of Sarajevo Scholarship Fair, which the University organizes every year, and on that occasion, Ukrainian universities were invited to present their study programs, academic capacities, and opportunities for international cooperation.

During the meeting, the possibilities of including the University of Sarajevo in the international initiative "Ukrainian Bookshelf", which is being implemented under the patronage of the First Lady of Ukraine Olena Zelenska, were also discussed, and it is aimed at promoting language, literature and culture through the establishment of library corners and shelves with Ukrainian literature in educational and cultural institutions around the world.

The interlocutors emphasized the importance of international university cooperation as an important instrument for connecting academic communities, exchanging knowledge and experiences, and developing inter-institutional relations, with an expressed mutual willingness to continue communication and develop future forms of cooperation of mutual interest.
