The 22nd University of Sarajevo Senate’s Session Held

At the 22nd University of Sarajevo Senate’s Session of 26 September 2018, Prof. Sanja Burić was elected as the University of Sarajevo Vice-Rector for Arts, Culture and Sports. The proposal made by Rector, Prof. Dr. Rifat Škrijelj, the Senate reached a Decision on Electing Prof. Sanja Burić, Academy of Performing Arts Associate Professor in the office of Vice-Rector for Arts, Culture and Sports at the University of Sarajevo.
The said Vice-Rector’s mandate follows the University of Sarajevo Rector’s mandate and starts from 01 October 2018 until 30 September 2020.

At the same session, Senators discussed the public debate on drafting the text of the Code of Conduct and Dressing at the University of Sarajevo. It was concluded that the Commission for Drafting the Code Text would be amended by additional members. The Commission will consider and sublimate all submitted objections, suggestions and opinions put forward through public hearing, after which it will propose the Code’s text on the basis of submitted material, or will offer a completely new text. Adoption of the Code of Conduct and Dressing at the Higher Education Institutions is regulated by articles 88 and 130 of the Cantonal Law on Higher Education.

Due to the incompatibility between the UNSA Study Rules for the First, Second and Integrated Cycles of Studies with Cantonal Law on Higher Education and the University of Sarajevo Statute, the Senate approved or, extended the earlier Decision to Dismiss Conditional Subjects for Enrollment in the following academic year 2018/2019 year respectively.
