The 4th University of Sarajevo Art Days Successfully Completed
The diverse program of the 4th University of Sarajevo Art Days, which was realized through the cooperation of the Academy of Music, the Academy of Performing Arts and the Academy of Fine Arts in order to highlight the importance of art and promote the research and artistic achievements of teachers and students of these institutions, was concluded on 30 in May 2024.
As part of the final day of the festival, the reissue of the textbook The Art of Solo Singing from 1972 was promoted in the "Cvjetko Rihtman" hall, in which the famous violist and professor Bruna Špiler presented her pedagogical methods for mastering the art of solo singing. This important publication was presented by prof. M.Sc. Adema Pljevljak-Krehić and prof. Vedrana Šimić, professor at the Department of Solo Singing of the Music Academy of the University of Sarajevo, Prof. Dr. Fatima Hadžić, professor at the Department of Musicology and Ethnomusicology of the Music Academy of the University of Sarajevo, and Prof. Dr. Tamara Karača Beljak, vice-rector for arts and sports at the University of Sarajevo. The promotion was moderated by Mr. SC. Nadina Grebović-Lendo, director of the Library of the University of Sarajevo.
Before the formal part of the presentation of this important publication, those present had the opportunity to hear the recordings of two solo songs from the series "Songs of my mother" (Međimorje, kak si lepo zeleno i Imala je majka tri jedine kćerke) by Josip Štolcer-Slavenski, recorded by Bruna Špiler for RTV Sarajevo in 1966, accompanied by the Radio-Sarajevo string orchestra, conducted by Radivoj Spasić. On this occasion, soprano Idna Muminović and baritone Tomislav Perić, students of the Department of Solo Singing of the Music Academy of the University of Sarajevo, performed with the piano accompaniment of Rev. sar. Dr. Milan Lucić.
After the promotion, the teachers of the Music Academy of the University of Sarajevo performed in the Gallery of the Bosnian Cultural Center KS. Mirna Mlikota-Dizdarević (flute) and Dina Fejzić (piano) performed Sonata no. 2 for flute and piano by S. Zyman, followed by Adnan Alagić (guitar) who played the works Junto al Generalife by J. Rodrigo, Fantaisie Hongroise op. 65 J. K. Mertz and Variations on the theme Ich bin a Kohlbauern Bub op. 49 M. Giuliani. The concert was rounded off by Azmir Halilović (accordion), who interpreted De profundis by S. Gubaidulina, Interieur by F. Angelis and Tarantolato by C. Jacomucci.
These two events were held as part of the program of the 17th May Music Festival, a festival that has been continuously organized by the UNSA Music Academy since 2008.
On the same day, the play "Looking for Claire" by a student of the Academy of Performing Arts, created as a collective graduation exam, was performed in the Sarajevo War Theater. The play, which rounded off the program of this year's Days of Art at the University of Sarajevo, leaves a strong impression on the issues of foster care and adoption and talks about the feelings of children who are adopted or placed in foster families, but also about the taboo feelings of often stigmatized parents who are forced to leave them for various reasons. children to care in institutions. The roles were played by Antonija Julija Blaće, Iman Bubić, Emina Topolović and Ana-Marija Tomić, and the mentors were regular professor Senad Bašić, associate professor Arma Tanović Branković and senior assistant Helena Vuković. Drama Kids Academy student Mila Barbalić also appears in the play.
