University of Sarajevo to Host International Conference on Multilingualism

Univerzitet u Sarajevu domaćin međunarodne konferencije o višejezičnosti

The University of Sarajevo and its Faculty of Philosophy, in cooperation with the University of Poitiers (France), are organising the 8th International Conference on “Less Widely Used and Less Taught Languages”, which will take place in Sarajevo on 9–10 October 2026.

 

This year’s conference theme is “Multilingualism in Higher Education: Challenges and Sustainable Development of LWULT Languages”. The conference will address the development of multilingualism in higher education, university language policies, the sustainable development of less widely used and less taught languages, and their teaching to students from other fields of study.

 

Teachers, researchers and experts are invited to submit abstracts in English or French by 31 August 2026.

 

Notifications of acceptance will be sent by 4 September 2026.
