Certificates Awarded to the Participants of the Second Degree of Specialization Course to Improve the Knowledge of the Ottoman Language and Reading Ottoman documents

The certificates awarding ceremony to the second-degree of specialization course to read Ottoman documents, which lasted in from 7 March to 25 September 2023 was held in the in the University of Sarajevo Ceremonial Hall.

The organization of the course is the result of cooperation between the University of Sarajevo - the Oriental Studies Institute and Turkish Historical Society (Türk Tarih Kurumu) from Ankara. The course is a continuation of cooperation on the project whose realization began last year, and the lecturer at the course was Prof. Dr. Hatice Oruç from the Faculty of  Philology, History and Geography at the Ankara University.

The ceremony was attended by University of Sarajevo Rector, Prof. Dr. Rifat Škrijelj, Vice-Rector for Research, Prof. Dr. Mirza Dautbašić, and Directors of the Oriental Institute, Institute for History, Gazi Husrev-Bey's Library and Historical Archive Sarajevo.

The course was attended by the participants from the following University of Sarajevo organizational units: Oriental Studies Institute, Institute of History, the Faculty of Philosophy, Gazi Husrev-Bey’s Library and the Historic Archive Sarajevo.
