In Bauhaus Archives in Berlin, on 9 April  2018, the presentation of the  supplemented and expanded German edition of the book “Selman Selmanagić und das Bauhaus” by Prof. Dr. Aide Abadžić Hodžić  from the Department of Art History, Faculty of Philosophy, University of Sarajevo translated by Azra Džajić-Weber was presented. The book was first published in the Bosnian, published by the Bosniak Institute in Sarajevo in 2014.
The German edition of the book was published by the edition “Die Bauwerke und Kunstdenkmäler von Berlin", Hrsg .: Landesdenkmalamt Berlin / Gebr. Mann Verlag, Berlin 2018. This renowned publishing house publishes books from the field of art history, architecture and archeology devoted this book to Selman Selmanagić, as one of the most important names in the reconstruction of Berlin after the Second World War, renowned architect, urban planner, designer and university professor, who evolved from different cultures and traditions.
Selman Selmanagić (Srebrenica, 1905 - Berlin, 1986) is the only architect from the area of the former Kingdom of Yugoslavia who graduated from architecture at the most important school of European artistic avant-garde, Bauhaus in Dessau in 1932, and was a longtime professor at the Department of Architecture Kunsthochschule Weißensee in Berlin (1950-1970). Selman Selmanagić is the only name in the history of art and architecture in Bosnia and Herzegovina, which he educated and artificially formed in a direct encounter and through cooperation with the leading names of European artistic modernism, such as Paul Klee, Wassily Kandinsky, Walter Gropius, Hannes Meyer, Mies van der Rohe .
Presentation of the German edition and international symposium on Selman Selmanagić of 10 April 2018 in the Bauhaus archive in Berlin were held under the title “Selman Selmanagić: European Biography” within the European Year of Cultural Heritage 2018 (ECHY 2018): “Sharing Heritage.”
