The World Bank's Education Team visited the University of Sarajevo - Discussions on cooperation
The World Bank's education team, consisted of senior education advisors James Gresham, Bojana Naceva and Nalin Jena, visited the University of Sarajevo today, where they met with Rector, Prof. Dr. Rifat Škrijelj, Vice-Rector for Teaching and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Dženana Husremović and Vice-Rector for International Cooperation, Prof. Dr. Enita Nakaš.
The education team presented the plans and goals of the World Bank, and the possibilities and potential areas of cooperation were discussed. The higher education system in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the functioning of the University of Sarajevo and the challenges it faces, and support programs in the field of higher education were some of the topics of the meeting.
It is expected that further discussions between these two institutions will result in concrete plans for future cooperation in the field of higher education, which will contribute to the improvement of the quality of education and the development of the academic community in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
