The University of Sarajevo signed contracts with the General Hospital “Prim. Dr. Abdulah Nakaš”, Special Hospital “Count for Heart - KM” and Special Hospital for Ophthalmology Svjetlost
Signing of a contract to regulate mutual relations in the performance of teaching, scientific research and publishing work, between University of Sarajevo and JU General hospital “Prim. Dr. Abdulah Nakaš”, University of Sarajevo and PZU Special Hospital “Heart Center – KM” and the University of Sarajevo and PZU Special hospitals for ophthalmology Svjetlost in Sarajevo took place in the UNSA Rectorate.
The contracts were signed by Prof. Dr. Rifat Škrijelj, University of Sarajevo Rector, Prof. Dr. Ismet Gavrankapetanović, Director of JU General Hospital „Prim. dr. Abdulah Nakaš”, Prof. Dr. Mirsad Kacila, PZU Special Hospitals “Center for Heart - KM”, Dr. Med. Sc. Melisa Ahmedbegović Pjano, Medical Director of PZU Special Hospital for Ophthalmology Light, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ajanović, dean of the Faculty of Dental Medicine with the Dental Clinical Center, University of Sarajevo, and Prof. Dr. Arzija Pašalić, Dean of the Faculty of Health Studies, University of Sarajevo.
Rector Škrijelj emphasizes that the signing of the contract has great importance for students of the University of Sarajevo, primarily medical groups, but also the Faculty of Science. „There will be three teaching bases, with which the mutual relationship is regulated and institutionally resolved, in which it will be able to practice, research for graduate, master's and doctoral dissertations”, said Rector Škrijelj and added “And the University of Sarajevo is becoming richer for the significant resources that are necessary for us. There are still institutions, which are the teaching base, with which we have not yet signed contracts and we will work on that”.
Director of the General Hospital “Prim. dr. Abdulah Nakaš” Prof. Dr. Ismet Gavrankapetanović emphasizes the importance of the contract, which, as he said, will enable additional education and promotion of students.
“It will be the motive for young doctors, who work at the General Hospital, to continue the academic path. This event is a shortlist of the future in this city of” Director Gavrankapetanović emphasized.
And the director of the Special Hospital “Center for the Heart - KM” Prof. Dr. Mirsad Kacila believes that these contracts will contribute to the quality of student education, and stressed that it is important to spread to other teaching bases as well.
According to the medical director of the Special Hospital for Ophthalmology Light dr. med. sc. Melissa Ahmedbegović Pjano, the involvement of top institutions engaged in quality professional work in teaching bases will also advance the process of education and science, primarily to the satisfaction of students.
Contracts have been signed with a view to regulating mutual relations regarding the implementation of teaching, scientific research, publishing activities and other forms of cooperation, as well as the regulation of rights, the obligations and responsibilities arising from the connection of the Contracting Parties in the performance of their core activities, and in order to promote and exercise common interests.
