“Structural reinforcements of masonry buildings-methods and examples” by Prof. Dr. Marijana Hadzima-Nyarko, Prof. Dr. Naida Ademović and Dr. Mario Jeleč

A few days ago, the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Architecture Osijek, Josip Juraj Strossmayer University in Osijek published a new university textbook entitled "Structural reinforcements of masonry buildings-methods and examples" work created as a result of long-term cooperation between experts from the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Architecture in Sarajevo. One of the co-authors is out. prof. dr. Naida Ademović, B.Sc. from the Faculty of Civil Engineering, University of Sarajevo.
The textbook reviewers were prof. dr. sc. Alen Harapin, B.Sc. in Civil Engineering, from the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Architecture and Geodesy in Split and Assoc. Davor Grandić, B.Sc. in Civil Engineering, from the Faculty of Civil Engineering in Rijeka. The foreword is signed by the emeritus of the Croatian Academy of Technical Sciences, prof. dr. sc. Dražen Aničić, B.Sc. ing. constr.
The book was published immediately after the earthquake that occurred in Zagreb in mid-April 2020. The largest number of damaged buildings in Zagreb were masonry structures, which makes this book extremely valuable and useful. This is the first book in the region written in the Croatian language that deals with the reinforcement of masonry buildings.
