Promoted new editions of the Oriental Studies Institute, University of Sarajevo
As part of the celebrations of the University of Sarajevo's December Days, in the University of Sarajevo’s Ceremonial Hall on 13 December 2023, new editions from the “Special Editions” edition of the Oriental Studies Institute, University of Sarajevo were presented, namely Devširma in Bosnia - about the recruitment of Bosnians into janissaries by Dr. Aladin Husić and Re/Construction of the story of Lj/love (Fables and a selection of verses from Mesnevi translated into Bosnian) by Dr. Amina Šiljak-Jesenković.
About Dr. Husić’s book spoke Prof. Dr. Fahd Kasumović, associate professor of the Department of History of the Faculty of Philosophy, UNSA, and Dr. Muamer Hodžić, senior research associate of the UNSA Oriental Institute.
Study monograph by Dr. Šiljak-Jesenković was presented by Dr. Dželila Babović, senior research associate of the UNSA Oriental Studies Institute and Prof. Dr. Almir Bašović, writer and full professor of the Department of Comparative Literature and Information Sciences of the Faculty of Philosophy, and the Academy of Performing Arts UNSA.
