Lecture “Urban Pollution and Energy Transition, Which Solutions Are Best for Heating and Transportation in the Long Term?”
SDEWES conference presented with Tesla Model S electric car demonstration rides
Dr. Neven Duić, full professor at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture, University of Zagreb delivered a lecture on 26 February 2020 at the University of Sarajevo “Urban Pollution and Energy Transition, What are the Best Solutions for Heating and Transportation in the Long Term?”
This attractive and extremely vital topic for the citizens of Sarajevo Canton and BiH was the introduction and announcement for the Conference on Sustainable Development of Energy, Water and Environment Systems (SDEWES), which will be held from 28 June to 2 July 2020 in Sarajevo, organized by the International Center for Sustainable Development of Energy, Water and Environment (SDEWES Center) and the Association of Consultants of Engineers of Bosnia and Herzegovina. SDEWES Center is an innovative platform that brings together scientists from different fields, from over 55 countries, able to form diverse working groups that can offer innovative, technology-based solutions to diverse problems related to sustainable development, the environment and efficient and effective use natural resources.
The aim of the conference is to bring together top experts, scientists, engineers, managers and all other participants interested in the field of energy, sustainable development and environment, and to cover a wide range of topics on methods, policies and technologies for improving energy, transport, water, environment and food production, and all their possible integrations and combinations. More than 200 participants from around the world are expected.
As part of the media promotion and promotion of electromobility, the citizens of Sarajevo were also offered demonstration rides in a Tesla Model S electric car.
