International Symposium - Man-Forest-Science (PEFOSS) 2018 Successfully Closed
The three-day international symposium Man - Forest - Science (PEFOSS) organized on the occasion of marking the 70th anniversary of the UNSA Faculty of Forestry was closed on 12 October 2018.
In the last day of the Symposium, focus was on plenary session, during which Prof. Karl Stampfer, Dean and eminent expert from the University of Natural Resources and Bionics (BOKU) from Vienna, spoke about the challenges of cutting down trees related to economic cost-effectiveness, security and environmental impact, as well as new technologies used in forest exploitation.
The Man - Forest - Science (PEFOSS) International Symposium gathered more than 250 participants. Some of the lecturers were world's leading experts in the field of forestry and horticulture from Austria, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Italy, Poland, Germany, Great Britain, Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Macedonia, Switzerland, Portugal, Russia, Ukraine, Turkey and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
This international symposium is one of the events in which the Faculty of Forestry, University of Sarajevo, one of the oldest higher education institutions in BiH, marked its 70th anniversary.
