Financing and co-financing contracts for scientific programs and projects in in the Federation of BiH 2020 signed
Secretary of the Federal Ministry of Education and Science, Alden Kajtaz and 12 representatives of public higher education and scientific institutions in the FBiH signed in Mostar on 4 March 2020 contracts for financing and co-financing of science programs and projects in 2020 in the Federation of BiH, for which the Ministry allocated 1.2 million BAM for this year from the budget.
Contracts were signed with all six public BH Universities - Sarajevo (320,060 BAM) “Džemal Bijedić” in Mostar (153,080 BAM), Mostar (174,860), Bihać (138,560 BAM), Zenica (153,080 BAM) and the University of Tuzla (189,380 BAM), and with Franciscan Theology in Sarajevo (15,000 BAM), Islamic pedagogical Faculties in Zenica and Bihać (15,000 BAM each), University of Sarajevo Clinical Center (15,000 BAM), Mostar University Clinical Hospital (15,000 BAM) and the University Clinical Center of Tuzla (15,000 BAM).
“The allocated funds are intended for the development of scientific research, for doctoral dissertations at universities, for the publication of scientific journals and more” said Kajtaz.
He also added that this is not all that the Federal Ministry of Education and Science has planned to do this year regarding science –“We will soon announce another public call worth half a million marks for research work and so we support science in BiH, and in the FBiH.”
Thanks to the allocated funds, Dean of Franciscan Theology in Sarajevo, Fr. Damir Pezer said that their institution is small, yet very important for BiH and the FBiH.
"We are small, but a very important institution for our state and the Federation of BiH because our centuries-old presence in BiH is significant for all our peoples.”
University of Sarajevo Vice-Rector, Dženana Husremović pointed out that the Federal Ministry of Education is one of the main partners of this university when it comes to the development of scientific research work and investment in scientific and research equipment.
“Thanks to projects funded by the Federal Ministry of Education, as well as equipment that was purchased from the money we received, the University of Sarajevo has indeed implemented some very significant research projects” said Husremović.
