Today, 60 years later, such an important institution of national importance has become a research center whose mission is not only to advance knowledge of the totality of historical events in one's own country, but to have the capacity to bring together various historiographic schools and become a meeting place for historians from the East and the West, as well as Bosnia and Herzegovina has been the meeting point of various civilizations throughout its history. Therefore, I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate you on this significant anniversary with the desire to continue to be an institute in the future, dedicated to the origin of our human existence and tradition as a place of our identity and interconnectedness of all peoples of Bosnia and Herzegovina.”
