University of Sarajevo partner at WE.Circular event in Bratislava: Strengthening women's entrepreneurship and circular innovation

The University of Sarajevo (UNSA), as a partner in the international WE.Circular project, participated in the implementation of the international WE.Circular Pop-up Store event held on 25 March 2026 in Bratislava. The event brought together female entrepreneurs, experts, innovators and partners from several countries in the Danube region, with the aim of strengthening entrepreneurship among women, exchanging experiences and promoting innovative approaches to the circular economy.
The full-day program featured inspiring entrepreneurial stories, expert discussions and presentations by the finalists of the WE.Circular Innovation Contest, including a representative from Bosnia and Herzegovina (Magbago https://magbago.com/). Special focus was on the development of sustainable business models, innovation and internationalization of business, with an emphasis on concrete support tools such as mentoring, networking and access to investments.
As a project partner, UNSA actively contributes to the development of knowledge, research and capacity in the field of circular economy and female entrepreneurship, connecting the academic community with the business sector and international initiatives. Participation in this event further strengthened international cooperation and opened space for new projects, knowledge exchange and development of innovative solutions with long-term social and economic impact.
The WE.Circular project continues to build a platform that connects entrepreneurs, institutions and experts with the aim of creating a more sustainable and inclusive business environment, in which UNSA plays an important role as an academic and research partner.
