Touring UNSA Member Institutions Continued
UNSA management - Rector, Prof. Dr. Rifat Škrijelj, Vice-Rectors Prof. Dr. Aida Hodžić, Prof. Dr. Izet Rađo, Prof. Dr. Aleksandra Nikolić and Prof. Zijad Mehić visited today the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and National and University Library of BiH.
In the previous days, Rector and Vice-Rectors visited the Faculties of Transports and Communications and Pharmacy, where they met with deans - Prof. Dr. Samir Čaušević and Prof. Dr. Davorka Završnik and respective Vice-Deans. The Oriental Studies Institute was also visited where the UNSA management was received by director, Dr. Adnan Kadrić and associates.
The Dean and the Vice-Deans hosted Rector, Vice-Rectors and presented to them the work, teachers and associates structure, and the Faculty’s infrastructure.
During the visit to the National and University Library of BiH, director Ovčina presented to the Rector and Vice-Rectors a rich book fund, a manuscript collection, a collection of rarities and rare books, a cartographic collection.
At the meetings, the discussed current and future projects were discussed and the University plans for the next period presented. The “Project of Employing 200 Assistants - The Best University of Sarajevo’s Students“ was drafted and sent to the Sarajevo Canton Government for approval., Rector Škrijelj presented the project’s details to Deans and Institute Director.
During the visit, the Erasmus+ info training session was announced. The session is scheduled to take place on the occasion of an Erasmus+ program’s new call for proposals on 22 November 2017.
During the visits, Rector introduced the participants to the process of the Law on Higher Education’s realization. It was pointed out that the University of Sarajevo is in the process of implementation, however the shortcomings or parts of the Law that are not feasible in the foreseen deadlines will be recorded in the coming period, and urgently delegated to the appropriate bodies via Commission for Monitoring the Implementation of the Law on Higher Education’s representatives.
With the aim of continuing the University of Sarajevo’s development, noting possible difficulties and improving cooperation, Rector Škrijelj, together with Vice-Rectors, will continue to look at the current situation.
