Academic lecture on the theme: "Finnish Phenomenon - Education for Life"
Within the campaign "Be what you are, study what you want" and the promotional activities for the academic 2019/2020, on the 21 February 2019, in the UNSA Ceremonial Hall, an academic lecture on the theme: "Finnish Phenomenon - Education for Life" was held, as well as continuous activities aimed at improving the teaching process.
The lecture is the result of the cooperation of Prof. Dr. Aida Hodžić, Vice-Rector for Teaching and Student Affairs at the University of Sarajevo, Prof. Dr. Snježana Šušnjara and students of the Department of Pedagogy at the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Sarajevo, and organized with the aim of presenting the experiences of students who have spent one semester at the University Jyväskylä in Finland.
The lecture was opened by Vice-Rector Prof. Dr. Aida Hodžić stressed that University of Sarajevo insist on quality through both study programs and scientific research.
The next speaker was Prof. Dr. Snježana Šušnjara, professor at the Department of Pedagogy at the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Sarajevo, who spoke about the history of many years of cooperation between the University of Sarajevo and the University of Jyväskylä, as well as about her own experience of the former student of that university.
Thanks to the extremely interesting presentations and presentations of the students, the participants could compare, among other things, the way of conducting the Bologna process in Finland and in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
After the presentation, a very inspiring discussion about the use of modern technologies in the teaching process, the relation of the teacher-student, the methods of teaching and conception of knowledge testing, the possibilities of introducing various interdisciplinary studies followed, and a number of topics that could be discussed in the future with the aim of improving the teaching process and, consequently, improving the quality of higher education at the University of Sarajevo.
