Welcome Day for visiting students at the University of Sarajevo

During the winter semester, the Service for International Cooperation, University of Sarajevo, in cooperation with vice deans and coordinators for international cooperation of organizational units of the University, opened competitions for mutual mobility, and organized admission of foreign students for the 2021/2022 summer semester.

Approximately 50 foreign students were given the opportunity to stay at the University of Sarajevo next semester. On that occasion, a Welcome Day was held today for foreign students, which will take place in the 2021/2022 summer semester to spend at our university, mostly through the Erasmus+ program. Students come from Austria, the Czech Republic, France, Croatia, Italy, Lithuania, Germany, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Serbia, Spain and Turkey.

As part of the Welcome Day, students were introduced to the University of Sarajevo, the city of Sarajevo, and they were provided with academic and practical information that will be useful for them to find their way faster and better in our city. In cooperation with the Erasmus Student Network, the visiting students were enabled to "pair" with local students in order to facilitate their stay and provide information about life in Sarajevo.

Foreign visiting students will stay at the University of Sarajevo until July 2022, when they officially finish their teaching obligations, and we hope that in that period they will achieve positive results and experience the best moments during mobility in Sarajevo and BiH.
