Opening ceremony of the VI Student Congress Food-Nutrition-Health with international participation
The VI Student Congress Food-Nutrition-Health with international participation will be held from 18 to 20 November 2021 in Sarajevo, and the grand opening was held on 18 November at the Ibis Styles Sarajevo.
The Student Congress Food-Nutrition-Health is traditionally organized for the sixth time at the University of Sarajevo, with the aim of promoting universal values of community and multidisciplinary approach in food production, its hygienic status and quality, different diets and possible health implications for humans. to be of utmost importance in resolving major issues in this area of life. This approach in perceiving this complex issue, through multidisciplinarity, is a modern trend of the "European nation" in finding the most rational answers to many questions in almost all spheres of social life and action.
Support for the realization of this important scientific gathering, and its importance were emphasized during the welcoming speeches of Prof. Dr. Mirza Dautbašić, Vice-Rector for Scientific Research, University of Sarajevo, Dr. Džemil Hajrić, Director of the Food Safety Agency of BiH, M.Sc. Kenan Muratović, Assistant Minister in the Veterinary Sector of the Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Water Management and Forestry, Prof. Dr. Aleksandra Nikolić, Minister of Science, Higher Education and Youth of KS, Prof. Dr. Jasmin Ferizbegović, President of the Veterinary Chamber of FBiH, Prof. Dr. Faruk Čaklovica, member of the Congress Organizing Committee and the originator of the project organizing idea and Prof. Dr. Jasmina Đeđibegović, President of the Organizing Committee of the VI Student Congress Food-Nutrition-Health.
Prof. Dr. Jasmina Đeđibegović opened the Congress with her address, and on that occasion handed over letters of thanks to the organizational units of the University of Sarajevo that participated in the organization of the Congress: Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Faculty of Pharmacy, Faculty of Agriculture, Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Health Studies, Faculty of Dentistry and Pedagogy. On the occasion of the VI Student Congress Food-Nutrition-Health, letters of thanks are awarded to the University of Sarajevo Rector, Prof. Dr. Rifat Škrijelj, the Academy of Music, the Academy of Performing Arts, the Academy of Fine Arts, the University Tele-Informatics Center UTIC, Dr. Džemil Hajrić, Director of the BiH Food Safety Agency, the Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Water Management and Forestry, and sponsors: Bosnalijek, BH Telecom, AbelaPharm, Salveo, BBI banka.
Plenary lecture "UV stability and (photo) degradation of various pesticides in different food matrices/UV stability and (photo) degradation of pesticides in different types of food" was held by Prof. Dr. Polonca Trebše from the Faculty of Health Studies, University of Ljubljana.
After the ceremonial opening of the Congress, the promotion of the book "Unconventional Sources of Animal Proteins" was organized. The promoters of the book were Prof. Dr. Samir Arnautović, Faculty of Philosophy, University of Sarajevo, Prof. Dr. Jasmin Ferizbegović, Faculty of Science, University of Tuzla, and Prof. Dr. Samija Muratović, Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Sarajevo.
The organizers of the congress are the University of Sarajevo Faculties of Medical, Natural-Mathematical And Biotechnical Sciences and Humanities Groups.
Medical, natural-mathematical, biotechnical and humanistic sciences students will take part in the organization of the Congress. The Coordination and Organizing Committee have defined topics that will be the subject of research and writing student papers, and relate to the following areas:
- Primary food production and processing;
- Toxicology and food safety;
- Modern diagnostics and food analytics;
- Life cycle nutrition;
- Diet therapy.
