A concert of the Department of Solo Singing MAS was held as part of the 14th "May Music Festival"
As part of the 14th edition of the festival "May Music Festival", on 26 May 26, 2021, at the Bosniak Institute - Adil Zulfikarpašić Foundation, a concert of the Department of Solo Singing of the Music Academy of the University of Sarajevo was organized by Hana Salihović (soprano) and Laura Kozlinger (soprano), students in the class of Doz. Vedrana Šimić, and Latif Moćević (bass), part Prof. Mr. Sc. Adema Pljevljak-Krehić, with piano accompaniment by senior artistic associate Dr. Milan Lucić.
The concert was opened by Laura Kozlinger, a third-year student, with the interpretation of "Se delitto è l'adorarti" by Alessandro Scarlatti (1660-1725), after which Hana Salihović, a fourth-year student, performed the aria "Stizzoso, mio stizzoso” from the famous “La Serva padrona by Giovanni Battista Pergolesi (1710-1736). The program also includes two arias from Johann Sebastian Bach's Passion Oratorio "The Passion of the Blessed Virgin Mary" (1685-1750), "Aus Liebe will mein Heiland sterben" sung by Hana Salihović and "Ich will dir mein Herze schenken" interpreted by Laura. Kozlinger. Latif Moćević, a fifth-year student, performed four solo songs from the cycle "Schwanengesang" ("Swan Song") by Franz Schubert (1797-1828), after which Laura Kozlinger sang "Schön war, das ich dir weihte" from the cycle " Seven Poems ”op. 95 Johannes Brahms (1833-1897).
The concert repertoire also included works by local authors such as Milan Prebanda (1907-1979), whose solo song "Through the Garden" was interpreted by Hana Salihović, while "Hunting is the Moon in the Sun" by Croatian composer Dora Pejačević (1885-1923) could be heard performed by Laura Kozlinger. Hana Salihović sang the likable aria Mussete “Quando men vo” from “La Boheme” (Bohemia), after which Latif Moćević reappeared in the role of Leporello and performed the segment “Madamina, il catalogo è questo” from the opera Don Giovanni ”. The concert was rounded off by Hana Salihović with the interpretation of the recitative and the aria “Ah! tardai troppo ... O luce di quest 'anima ”from“ Linda di Chamounix ”by the Italian composer Gaetano Donizetti (1797-1848).
