Cooperation between the University of Sarajevo Library and the Gazi Husrev-beg Library in Sarajevo

Gazi Husrev-beg Library in Sarajevo Director, Mr. Sc. Osman Lavić yesterday received University of Sarajevo Library Director, Mr. Sc. Nadina Grebović-Lendo and they discussed the modalities of unifying the library and information system of the members of the University of Sarajevo.
Director Grebović-Lendo expressed her desire for closer cooperation between UNSA member libraries and the Gazi Husrev-beg Library in Sarajevo, especially when it comes to standardizing the processing of oriental library materials, which these institutions keep in their funds.
During the meeting, Director Lavić introduced Director Grebović-Lendo with the Gazi Husrev-beg Library activities, as well as with its previous practices in the field of processing special library materials, and expressed readiness to cooperate in all areas that are of common interest to libraries within UNSA. He especially emphasized the fact that Gazi Husrev-beg Library, in practical terms, has long been a teaching base for a number of faculties and institutes within UNSA.
It was agreed at the meeting to intensify activities related to the definition of the transliteration standard of oriental material processing, as well as to index the scientific journal Gazi Husrev-beg Library Annals into additional international databases.
