Potočari Memorial Center representatives visited the University of Sarajevo

Potočari Memorial Center representatives visited the University of Sarajevo on 26 January 2021. On that occasion, they met with Vice-Rector for Research, Prof. Dr. Mirza Dautbašić and Director of the University of Sarajevo Library, Mr. Sc. Nadina Grebović-Lendo and the Faculty of Philosophy librarian in charge of coordinating the librarians team in the project, Vahid Piralić. During the visit, the continuation of the arranging the operation of the Potočari Memorial Center Library project were discussed. We remind you that last year the University of Sarajevo handed over a donation of 5,000 publications to the Memorial Center in Potočari.

The continuation of the project includes activities to establish a library and information system and the formation of the Srebrenica collection. University of Sarajevo and Potočari Memorial Center Library representatives visited the National and University Library of BiH, where they met with director, Dr. Ismet Ovčina and the head of the Virtual Library of BiH Nevenka Hajdarović and talked about the possibilities of including the Library of the Memorial Center in Potočari in the COBISS system, the formation of collections and the entire library business. It is planned that a team of librarians from the university libraries of the University of Sarajevo will participate in the formation of the collections of the Library of the Potočari Memorial Center. Azir Osmanović, Potočari Memorial Center curator, expressed his satisfaction with the realized and planned activities.
