UNSA Institute for History Editions Promoted in Brčko

The promotion of the University of Sarajevo Institute for History’s latest editions was held at the Islahijet Center in Brčko, organized by the Institute for History and BZK “Preporod” Brčko.
At the beginning of the promotion, Edin Jašarević, BZK “Preporod” Brčko President delivered a welcome address. In addition, the program participants were warmly welcomed by Ćazim Suljević, Brčko Archives District director. Then a welcome speech was given by Dr. Sedad Bešlija, Institute A.D.
Then followed by the promotion of the first four Institute monographs published in last two years: Sedad Bešija, Istimalet: Bosna u osmanskoj političkoj strategiji 15. i 16. stoljeća (Istimalet: Bosnia in Ottoman Political Strategy in the 15th  and 16th Centuries), promoted by Dr. Muamer Hodžić, UNSA Oriental Studies Institute. The book by Hana Younis, Od dućana do pozorišta – sarajevska trgovačka elita 1851-1878 (From Shop to Theater - Sarajevo Commercial Elite 1851-1878) was promoted by Dr. Muhamed Nametak. About the book by  Enes S. Omerović, Nacionalne manjine u BiH (National Minorities in BiH 1918-1941) spoke Dr. Sonja Dujmović. Dr. Sedad Bešlija presented the book by Muhamed Nametak, Bosanski trougao u crvenoj zvijezdi – kulturni tokovi i izgradnja socijalističkog društva u BiH 1945-1952 (The Bosnian Triangle in the Red Star - Cultural Moments and the Construction of Socialist Society in BiH 1945-1952).
In the final part of the promotion, Doz. Dr. Amir Duranović, UNSA Faculty of Philosophy spoke about the latest 47th issue of the Institute’s Journal Prilozi. The promotion was closed by Dr. Sabina Veladžić who presented the second Institute’s journal, Historical searches no. 17.
At the end of the program moderated by Adnan Kalesić, Brčko District Archives employee and a member of the Brčko District Archivists Association, the audience had the opportunity to ask questions or make their observations, followed by an interesting conversation.
