The Sarajevo Canton Government and the Faculty of Economics, University of Sarajevo are organizing a panel discussion “Is Canton Sarajevo ready for a strategic turning point in tourism development - Tourism 2.0?" that takes place on Friday, 31 May 2019 at the Centrotrans Amphitheater (EFSA , 2 floor).

This event represents the efforts of these institutions to make a step forward in improving the tourism environment of the Canton Sarajevo. The Sarajevo Canton faces the need for a strategic turning point in tourism - from individual and ad-hoc activities to systematic and planned development. The preconditions for long-term success include, inter alia, the establishment of an efficient destination management based on a holistic approach, integration and successful cooperation between the public, private and non-governmental sectors, monitoring trends and innovations in the development of tourism products, the application of modern technologies, the development of tourism infrastructure, with the needs of the market, etc.

The purpose of the panel discussion is to establish a dialogue between the public and the private sector that will result in concrete actions and directions of action necessary for the sustainable development of the destination.

The Panel's patron is the Sarajevo Canton Government.
