At Zetra, 3,547 BA and MA graduates promoted - A new generation of highly educated young people ready for future business challenges
A ceremonial promotion and diploma ceremony was held at the Zetra Hall for 3,547 BA and MA graduates from the University of Sarajevo. The new generation of highly educated young people officially completed their studies with a ceremonial declaration, opening a new chapter in their lives, prepared to be strong competitors in the labor market with their acquired knowledge, and to further develop their careers.
" The new generation of academic citizens is entering a world full of global challenges that demand knowledge, courage, integrity, and active engagement. The University of Sarajevo, as an institution that survived siege and war, imparts to its students the spirit of resistance, critical thinking, and social responsibility. Graduates, I call on you not to accept injustice, to oppose corruption, and to be agents of positive change with your knowledge and work," said Prof. Dr. Tarik Zaimović, UNSA Rector.
"This is the first step of a further journey, and it is important for them to understand that the world we live in is a rapidly changing world – a world characterized by innovation, globalization, and constant transformation. I am confident that the competencies – skills and knowledge – that students have gained at the University of Sarajevo and possess today are invaluable for navigating the complexities of this ever-changing environment," emphasized Prof. Dr. Dušanka Bošković, Minister of Science, Higher Education, and Youth of Canton Sarajevo.
In conclusion, it was conveyed that the University of Sarajevo remains a lasting academic home for its alumni, and it is expected that the promoted graduates will turn knowledge, honesty, and responsibility into everyday actions for the benefit of society and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
In the musical part of the program, the University of Sarajevo Music Academy Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Mr. Fuad Šetić, Assistant at the Conducting Department, performed, along with the Music Academy Choir, directed by Mr. Emanuel Josić, a professional associate at the UNSA Music Academy.
