Faculty of Islamic Sciences of the University of Sarajevo celebrated its 48th anniversary

At the IZ Student Center in Sarajevo, the University of Sarajevo – Faculty of Islamic Sciences celebrated its 48^th anniversary. Professors, academic and professional staff, retired employees and friends of the Faculty gathered on this occasion.

The program was moderated by Prof. Dr. Zehra Alisphahić, and the ceremony was opened by Dean, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Hasani, who in his address emphasized the importance of strengthening the international positioning of this prestigious educational institution. He recalled a number of significant activities implemented in the past year, and announced new plans and special preparations for marking the 50th anniversary of the Faculty.

At the ceremony, a fitting gift was presented and a farewell was held for a long-time employee of the Faculty, Mr. Rušit Nurković, who was officially sent off to retirement. On behalf of the collective, a word of gratitude for his dedicated work and dedication was expressed by Dean Dr. Hasani

Also, certificates of appreciation were awarded to the best professors and assistants in the summer and winter semesters, which particularly emphasized the importance of excellence and dedication in the teaching process.

At the end of the program, Prof. Dr. Enes Ljevaković, Deputy Reisul-Ulema and President of the Faculty's Board of Directors, addressed the audience. In his speech, he emphasized the importance of investing in young staff, because they are the best representatives of the Faculty. He especially praised the students' success in performing Ramadan practice, as well as the professors' engagement in committees during the reform processes of higher Islamic education in the institutions of the Islamic Community.

At the end of the program, the prayer was recited by Assoc. Prof. Dr. hfz. Mensur Malkić, Director of the Directorate for Religious Affairs and member of the Faculty's Board of Directors. We would like to thank all the guests and participants who graced this ceremony with their presence.
