Certificate Award Ceremony for the Eighth Generation of Freshmen of the UNSA Faculty of Islamic Sciences at the King Fahd Cultural Center

On Monday, 30 September 2025, the 8th intensive Arabic language course for first-year students at the University of Sarajevo - Faculty of Islamic Sciences was completed with a certificate award ceremony at the King Fahd Cultural Center.
The certificate award ceremony was preceded by a final exam and a student competition in which they demonstrated what they had learned in a relaxed atmosphere. The ceremony was hosted by Muhammad Awwad, Deputy Director of the Center, and on behalf of the Faculty of Islamic Sciences, the ceremony was attended by prof. Dr. hfz. Aid Smajić, Vice-Dean for International Cooperation, and Prof. Dr. Amira Trnka-Uzunović, Head of the Department of Quranic Philology. It is also important to mention the names of the first course implementers, namely Adisa Imamović, a long-time course coordinator, and the professors who implemented the classes, Walaa Aly and Belma Manjgo.
The attendees were addressed by the Center’s Deputy Director, Mr. Muhammad Awwad and the Faculty Vice Dean, emphasizing the importance of cooperation between the two institutions that have a common goal, which is to raise awareness of the importance of studying Arabic as the language of the Quran and the language of a rich culture and civilization.
The meeting ended with the ceremonial awarding of certificates to the course participants, three of whom completed the first level, and nineteen advanced.
