Express Courier and UNSA Faculty of Transport and Communications Signed Agreement on Business and Technical Cooperation

The company Express Courier d.o.o., an authorized partner for UPS and UPS SCS in BiH, and the University of Sarajevo - Faculty of Transport and Communications signed an Agreement on Business and Technical Cooperation on 16 September 2025.
The Agreement was signed by the CEO of Express Courier, Mirza Bavčić, and the Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Dr. Amel Kosovac.
This Agreement establishes cooperation between the business and academic sectors, with the aim of connecting theoretical knowledge and practical experience in the field of transport and communications.
The Agreement provides for the organization of professional internships and internships for students, the implementation of joint projects and research, the exchange of knowledge and experience, professional development of personnel, and the development of programs and studies of mutual interest.
The cooperation will contribute to strengthening the competencies of future graduates and their competitiveness in the labor market, while at the same time opening up space for the development of new and modern solutions in the field of logistics, transport and communications.
The signing of the Agreement confirmed the commitment of both parties to jointly build a bridge between the academic community and the real sector, with the aim of improving education, developing young professionals and strengthening the logistics industry in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
On this occasion, the Dean Prof. Dr. Kosovac, stated: “By signing this Agreement, the Faculty of Transport and Communications confirms its commitment to strengthening the connection between theory and practice through partnerships with the business sector and to transforming academic knowledge into practical values for society and the economy. The cooperation with the Express Courier company, led by General Director Mirza Bavčić, represents a continuation of the Faculty's good practice in signing agreements with the real sector and the business environment, through which we enable our students and researchers to approach business practice, participate in joint projects and develop innovative solutions in the field of logistics and transport. I would like to thank the Express Courier company for recognizing the importance of this partnership and its willingness to jointly contribute to the development of young experts and the improvement of the postal and logistics market in Bosnia and Herzegovina. I am convinced that this synergy will result in the modernization of business processes, the strengthening of the postal and logistics market in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the creation of competitive experts ready to respond to market challenges and be drivers of positive changes in the industry and society as a whole.”
