The completion of the roof of the University of Sarajevo Library, located within the University Campus, is nearing completion. Symbolically named “7 Mountains,” this architectural feature represents the most demanding construction project for the building.
In tandem with the roofing work, final masonry tasks are being conducted inside the structure, while electrical and mechanical installations are being set up, and the construction of the water supply and sewage network is in progress.
Commenting on the significance of this project for the academic community and the public at large, the Prime Minister of Sarajevo Canton, Nihad Uk, emphasized that the library will serve as the heart of the Campus and a central hub for education, research, and innovation. He added:
“The roofing of '7 Mountains' is one of the most complex construction endeavors associated with this building; however, once completed, we will have a modern institution that will provide students and researchers with exceptional working conditions,” concluded Uk.
The construction of the University of Sarajevo Library stands as one of the key infrastructural projects in the field of higher education within Sarajevo Canton and indeed throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina. The completion of the work is scheduled for this year.
