On 12 March 2025, the concluding event of the Spark project “Spark: Skilled Youth, Empowered Communities, Mostar and Sarajevo,” was held in Mostar, organized by the British Council in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

This event brought together all participants of the project, including students of English Language and Literature from three universities: the University of Džemal Bijedić in Mostar, the University of Mostar, and the University of Sarajevo - Faculty of Philosophy. Led by Prof. Dr. Izabela Dankić from the University of Mostar and Prof. Dr. Larisa Kasumagić-Kafedžić from the University of Sarajevo, the project focused on themes connecting the teaching of English language, culture, and literature with global issues and challenges. Participants engaged in a series of workshops held in Sarajevo and Mostar, culminating in the presentation of their projects at the final ceremony, where the most outstanding efforts were recognized and awarded.

Notable guests at the event included Julian Reilly, the British Ambassador to Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Prof. Dr. Adnan Velagić, the Minister of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports of the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton, who underscored the significance of such initiatives in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the collaboration between universities and the broader community.
