Welcome day for foreign students
The Department for International Cooperation, University of Sarajevo, in cooperation with the Vice-Deans and international cooperation coordinators from University member institutions, during the summer semester of the academic year 2023/24 opened a series of competitions for mutual mobility, and ensured the admission of foreign students for the winter semester 2024/2025.
In the winter semester of the academic year 2024/2025, 40 foreign students had the opportunity to stay at the University of Sarajevo. On this occasion, today is the Day of Goodwill for foreign students who come from 45 higher education institutions from 19 European countries. Students come from Austria, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, France, Italy, Lithuania, Hungary, the Netherlands, Germany, Poland, Portugal, Romania, the United States of America, Spain, Switzerland, Turkey and Great Britain.
The students were welcomed by the representatives of the International Cooperation Service, who presented the University of Sarajevo, the city of Sarajevo, and provided the students with academic, administrative and practical information that will help them find their way around the city faster and better. In cooperation with the Erasmus Student Network student association, foreign students are enabled to be “paired” with local students in order to facilitate their stay in Sarajevo.
Foreign visiting students will stay at the University of Sarajevo until the end of February 2025, when they officially finish their teaching duties: representatives of the International Cooperation Service express the hope that during their mobility at the University of Sarajevo, the students will achieve positive results and experience the most beautiful moments in Sarajevo and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
