Vice-Rector for Finances and Student Vice-Rector Elected

The University of Sarajevo Senate, at its 18th regular session of 25 April 2018, elected Prof. Dr. Elvir Čizmić as Vice-Rector for Finances, and Rijana Jusufbegović as student Vice-Rector.
The Senate rendered a Decision on the Dismissal of Prof. Dr. Željko Šain from the office of Vice-Rector for Finances based on his resigning because of personal reasons.
At the Rector Škrijelj’s proposal, the Senate made a Decision on the appointment of Prof. Dr. Elvir Čizmić, full professor at the Faculty of Economics in the office of Vice-Rector for Finances.
The term in office for the Vice-Rector for Finances follows the Rector office term and starts from 1 May 2018 and lasts until 30 September 2020.
At the same session, the Senate passed the Decision on the Discharge of Mirza Ibrahimović, a third cycle student at the Faculty of Sports and Physical Education from the with the function of Student Vice-Rector  due to mandate period expiration.
On the proposal of the Students’ Parliament of the University of Sarajevo, the Senate issued the Decision on the appointment of Rijana Jusufbegović, a student of the second cycle of studies at the Faculty of Political Sciences of the University of Sarajevo, for the Student Vice-Rector.
This term is one year, with the possibility of another consecutive election.
