Uppsala University delegation Visited Faculty of Islamic Sciences
On Monday, 8 April 2019, a delegation from the University of Uppsala from Sweden visited the Faculty of Islamic Sciences. The guests were Prof. Dr. Muhammad Fazlhashemiand, Dr. Emin Poljarević and PhD candidate Mattias Pape Rosenfeldt, who met with the Faculty management.
Dr. Ermin Poljarević gave a lecture entitled “One Century of Islam and Muslims in Sweden” to students of theological and imam studies at the subject Da'va (Islamic Mission).
Lectures were also delivered to faculty members by Prof. Dr. Muhammad Fazlhashemiand on the topic “Transition and Continuity in Al-Ghazali’s Political Thinking”, as well as by PhD Mattias Pape Rosenfeldt on “Progressive Islam in Europe: Scandinavian Case.” During the visit, the possibilities of academic and other cooperation were also discussed between Uppsala University and the Faculty of Islamic Sciences.
