UNSA: Meeting with Partner Institutions to Celebrate Library National Awareness Day
At the University of Rectorate, a meeting with partners was held in Sarajevo on 30 September 2019 to mark the Library National Awareness Day, the result of the ERASMUS+ project Library Network Support Services (LNSS): Modernizing Libraries in the Western Balkans through Staff Development and Reforming Library Services. The meeting with participants will enable their participation in successful celebration of the Library National Awareness Day.
The Library National Awareness Day’s goal is to remind citizens of the importance of library involvement in knowledge society’s building. On 25 October 2019, libraries (higher education, school, public and special) will participate in the promotion of their services by offering citizens educational content (promotions, poetry reciting evenings, round table discussions, exhibitions, etc.).
Prof. Dr. Maida Čohodar-Husić, University of Sarajevo Vice-Rector for Quality, addressed the meeting attendees and emphasized her satisfaction that University of Sarajevo was a partner in the LNSS project. Presentation on National Library Awareness Day was given by Mr. Sc. Nadina Grebović-Lendo, LNAD (Library National Awareness Day) Action Group president, who gave instructions on how to mark this day. Prof. Dr. Dženana Husremović, University of Sarajevo Vice-Rector for Research also attended the meeting in order to reach an agreement with librarians from organizational units on activities concerning the implementation of the Rulebook on Awarding Academic and Research Staff for Achievements and allocating funds to University of Sarajevo organizational units pursuant to scientific/artistic work results.
