At the University of Zenica Celebrated 60th Anniversary of Higher Education in Zenica

At the academy held at the Bosnian National Theater in Zenica on 29 October 2019, the 60th anniversary of higher education in Zenica was celebrated.

The ceremony was attended by Rectors of all BH public universities, Rectors and representatives of Universities from Croatia, Serbia and Montenegro, representatives of Embassies of Indonesia, Serbia, Slovenia, Turkey and France, then representatives of state, federal and cantonal authorities, religious representatives, cultural, sports and economic life, numerous guests and employees of the University of Zenica.

On behalf of the University of Sarajevo, Prof. Dr. Rifat Škrijelj, Rector and Prof. Dr. Aida Hodžić, Vice-Rector for Teaching and Student Affairs attended the Academy.

Two University of Zenica Honorary Doctorates (Honoris Causa) were awarded at the Ceremony: to Prof. Dr. Danis Tanović for his outstanding contribution to the culture and film of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and to Prof. Dr. Johan Arne Vetlesen for his outstanding contributions in the field of philosophy, as well as his outstanding contribution to the promotion of peace, tolerance and humanity.
