The University of Sarajevo Faculty of Law team has qualified among the top 35 law schools in the world in the field of media law
From December 4 to December 6, 2019, the Iudex Club of the University of Sarajevo Faculty of Law participated at the VIII Regional Competition of Law Faculties from the South and Eastern Europe (Albania, Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Croatia, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Malta, Montenegro, Northern Macedonia, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia and Slovenia) in the field of media law. The competition was held in Budapest (Hungary).
The Iudex Club are the following students: Zerina Ramović, Hamza Begić, Selma Memagić, Adna Škamo, Kerim Šahman and Hana Alkić. Students were prepared by assistants Nasir Muftić, LLM and Harun Išerić, MA Iur.
After successful conflicts of argument with colleagues from Hungary, Russia, Greece, Croatia and Albania, and before judges - legal professors and theorists from Southeast Europe, UNSA Faculty of Law students have entered the world competition as the fourth team from Bosnia and Herzegovina since 2008, when the competition was created. During the competition, the judges especially praised the exceptional skills of the legal logic, arguments and speaking of the Faculty of Law in Sarajevo students.
The World Competition, which will bring together the world's 35 best law schools, will be held from 30 March to 3 April 2020 in Oxford.
The previous Faculty of Law in Sarajevo has twice participated in the World Media Law Competition in 2013 and 2015.
Financial support also participated in the competition to the Sarajevo municipalities of Center and Stari Grad, followed by the municipalities of Hadžići, Kakanj, Živinice and Jajce.
