UniAdrion Workshop: Business in a creative and cultural area - how to develop your business idea
On Friday, 8 March 2019, at the premises of the Center for Interdisciplinary Studies, University of Sarajevo, a workshop on the topic "Business in a creative and cultural area - how to develop your business idea" was held and intended for BH students who will graduate soon and young graduates in the last three years. The workshop was organized by the Forum of the Adriatic-Ionian Chamber of Commerce (Forum AIC), in cooperation with UniAdrion and the University of Sarajevo.
The purpose of the workshop was to encourage and support the creation of start-ups that will connect their activities with cultural heritage and act in the fields of archeology, architecture, food, performances, films, museums, music, publishing, thematic parks or visual arts. The Adriatic-Ionian region has great potential for the development of competitive and innovative, creative and cultural industries that would benefit a wide range of interest groups in the area.
The workshop was organized in two sessions: trainings in the morning, when professors and regional development experts from the Delte Marche Polytechnic University (Dr. Guiseppe de Maso), the Faculty of Economics at the University of Banja Luka (Prof. Dr. Jovo Ateljević) and from the University of Sarajevo Faculty of Economics (Prof. Dr. Almir Peštek) presented the methodologies and financial possibilities through the tourism industry and strategic management and marketing.
The second part of the session was held in the afternoon as a workshop on "How to develop your business idea in a creative and cultural area", and the participants had the opportunity to start developing a concrete business idea by exploiting the knowledge of experienced tutors. The workshop was led by Prof. Donato Iacobucci from the Politehnical University Delle Marche and Mrs. Francesca Farinelli, executive manager of Ecapital Culture.
At the end of the UniAdrion workshop participants received the attendance certificate and the initial package with materials useful for further development of entrepreneurial skills as a self-study.
UNIADRION promotes cooperation between universities and research centers with the aim of strengthening international cooperation and favoring the progress of culture, science, training and research in the countries of the Adriatic-Ionian region.
