Supporting the Personnel Strengthening at Institute for the Investigation of Crimes against Humanity and International Law
4 November 2019 - Sarajevo Canton encourages and supports the strengthening of the function and activities of the Institute for the Investigation of Crimes against Humanity and International Law and is ready to support the personnel strengthening at this Institute within stated needs, is the message from the meeting between the Assembly Speaker, Elmedin Konaković and Institute Acting Director Amir Kliko and the president of the Sarajevo Canton Highest Honors Recipients, Ismet Godinjak.
They discussed today the scientific projects and methods of work of the Institute, as well as the formation of a new department, which, capacitated with educated quality staff, would legally support processes dealing with the period of Aggression against Bosnia and Herzegovina.
"The role and location of the Institute for the Investigation of Crimes against Humanity and International Law remain immeasurable, especially in the context of the treatment and proving of war crimes, crimes against peace and genocide in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Our support for their work and staff strengthening of research capacities will certainly not be missed next year” said Konaković.
The Institute for the Investigation of Crimes against Humanity was established in 1992 and is a full member of the University of Sarajevo whose main activity is the research and development of scientific projects in the function of scientific knowledge of genocide and providing scientific knowledge for the prosecution of perpetrators and perpetrators of crimes against humanity and international law.
