The Sarajevo Innovation Summit 2020 - The Most Important Innovation Event in the Region Ended

The Sarajevo Innovation Summit 2020 was held on 22 October 2020 online. It brought together more than 350 participants who share common interests in innovation, digital transformation and digital art in the post COVID-19 environment. In the spirit of innovation, the event turned to a virtual format with inspirational speakers and panelists.

The general conclusion of the Summit is that the Sarajevo Innovation Summit is an extremely important initiative for the development and progress of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

It is necessary to turn the crisis into an opportunity for improving and reconstructing the economic system and society. Innovation, digital transformation and leadership are becoming a new paradigm of economic development. It was the COVID-19 pandemic that reminded us how important it is to be innovative. Those economies that are more innovative, flexible and digitally resilient will recover faster and more successfully from the crisis. Whether the pandemic will be a good opportunity to innovate more or an insurmountable challenge that will bring a completely new paradigm in the functioning of the economy and society as a whole - will depend on ourselves and our flexibility and innovation.

The Faculty of Economics in Sarajevo and the Sarajevo Innovation Summit will continue to work to connect education, the public and business sectors in order to improve the business environment, but also society as a whole.
